It was gathered that Sherifah studied so hard that she finished top in the Broadcast Class in Mass Communication, University of Lagos (UNILAG) with a First Class Degree.

She was one of the 281 students who graduated with first class during the 51st convocation of the University of Lagos in 2021.

She said, as per Punch:

“I am also inspired by my fastidious and devout late mother, my no-nonsense father, and my elder sister who is a pro-footballer. Their drive and self-belief to be the best at what they do motivate me a lot."

Sherifat further explained other activities that aided her impressive result during the program. She said via Independent:

“So, MSSN was the organization that helped me with that moral and spiritual support. I was an active member of the Mass communication chapter (Unilag Muslim communicators). I remember attending a weekly meeting after every Jumaat.
“We talked about finding yourself if you’re getting lost or derailing while chasing the best.
“There is this constant reminder that you have to have a relationship with Allah, you have to do the right things as regards the Deen, and also it was really good being part of the organisation while in school. I didn’t get blinded by the pursuit of an ambition to get a good result and forget to pray.”
