Arsenal hammered Barcelona 5-3 in a pre-season friendly in the USA. The match was Barcelona's first in their pre-season after their warmup clash against Juventus was canceled.

Although the Gunners had the last laugh, their defender Ben White was torn apart by Barcelona youngsters, Ansu Fati and Alejandro Balde.

Early in the second half, with the score finely poised at 2-2, Ansu Fati attacked Arsenal's right-hand side, manned by Ben White. The defender dived in as he tried to steal the ball, but Fati was alert. He made a turn, leaving White for dead, per ESPN FC.

Fati passed the ball to Balde, who returned it before running into space. The young forward, now defended by Arsenals Bukayo Saka and White, passed the Ball to Balde and returned it to Fati, but it was inaccurate.

The two youngsters are forming a partnership which they could take into next season.

Arsenal beat Barcelona

The Blaugrana opened the scoring through striker Robert Lewandowski after ten minutes. Saka canceled that goal moments later before missing a penalty. Raphinha's deflected free-kick gave Xavi's side the lead, but Kai Havertz tied the game with a neat finish from Martin Odegaard's knock-down.

Mikel Arteta's side dominated the second half, going 4-2 up after 78 minutes through Leandro Trossard. Ferran Torres scored Barca's third late in the game, but Fabio Vieira sealed Arsenal's win with a goal in the 89th minute to end an ill-tempered game.

Araujo's crunching tackle on Jesus

Sports Brief earlier reported on Barcelona's Ronald Araujo avoiding a red card following his tackle on Arsenal striker, Gabriel Jesus.

With the Gunners' forward running down the Barcelona flank, the Barca defender - in a bid to win back the ball - unleashed a reckless tackle, but fortunately for him, the referee blew to his advantage.

Arsenal fans were furious on social media and questioned the referee's decision not to send him off.
