A day after submitting a world record 300 million bid for the Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe, Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal are reportedly eyeing Atletico Madrid forward, Antoine Griezmann.
Top clubs in Saudi Arabia have been splashing the cash this year after Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in December.
According to journalist, Achraf Ben Ayad, Al-Hilal recently made an offer for Griezmann of around €40mil, but it is unclear how much the French international would earn in wages.
The 32-year-old signed a permanent contract until 2026 with Atletico Madrid in October 2022.
The French forward is finding his feet after couple of tough seasons in Spain. He played all 38 La Liga games for Atletico last season and scored 15 goals to help his team finish third in the table.
Al-Hilal have attracted some top players from Europe this summer. They signed Ruben Neves from Wolves for €55mil, Sergej Milinković-Savić for €40mil from Lazio, and Kalidou Koulibaly from Chelsea, per Transfermarkt.
Al-Hilal submit bid for Mbappe
On Monday, July 24, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported that Al-Hilal had submitted a €300mil bid for the PSG superstar. They reportedly offered him a staggering €700m per year as a salary.
The Parisians reportedly want to sell Mbappe after he refused to sign an extension with the Ligue 1 champions. He was omitted from their pre-season tour to Japan and put up for sale by the club.
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner reportedly wants to join Real Madrid for free next summer, but having their star leave for free at the end of his deal is a situation PSG are desperate to avoid.
