Barcelona have finally let go of Brazilian forward Gustavo Maia after three unfruitful years at the club following his signature from Sao Paolo in 2020.

According to Forbes, Barcelona reached an agreement with Maia for the player's dismissal despite the Brazilian still having a contract until June 30, 2025.

In his three years at Barcelona, Maia only made eight appearances for the Catalan giants, accumulating 283 minutes overall before being shipped out on loan to Internacional.

Maia will continue his career at Vila Nova FC after being released by Barcelona as he hopes to revive his career with the Brazilian outfit after spending the last two years on loan outside of Barcelona.

Barcelona agree Kessie deal with Juventus

Meanwhile, Barcelona have reached a deal with Juventus for Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie to join the Serie A giants on loan this summer after one season at Camp Nou, Football Espana reports.

Barcelona will now give Juventus the greenlight to speak to Kessie who so far has not agreed to the deal to join the former Italian champions this summer.

Juventus manager, Max Allegri, is reportedly a fan of Kessie and is pushing for the Italian club to bring the midfielder back to Serie A after his previous stints with AC Milan and Inter Milan.

Barcelona enter race for Mbappe

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Barcelona are set to meet with Paris Saint-Germain officials to discuss the possible transfer of wantaway France forward, Kylian Mbappe, this summer.

Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move away from the Parisians after the Ligue 1 champions confirmed they are willing to offload the forward following his refusal to renew his contract.

The 24-year-old is entering the final year of his contract as PSG looks to cash in on the forward rather than lose him for free next summer when he becomes a free agent.
