Saudi club Al Nassr are reportedly making an attempt to hijack Samuel Chukwueze’s transfer to Italian club AC Milan this summer.
Milan are reportedly closing in on the Nigerian international winger, but Al Nassr are also making efforts to offer the star a blockbuster deal.
Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo currently features for the Saudi outfit, and Super Eagles captain Ahmed was also in the club's books.
Earlier reports have it that Milan have agreed on a deal with Villarreal over Chukwueze, with details already in the final stage.
Transfer expert Rudy Galetti has now reported that Al Nassr have made a hefty offer to Villarreal for the winger, Daily Post reports.
Chukwueze is due in Milan this week to undergo medicals and sign his contract.
The 24-year-old has already agreed personal terms with AC Milan. He has a year left on his contract with Villarreal.
Villarreal president Fernando Roig speaks via Complete Sports:
“I don’t know if Milan are interested in the player. But if the interest is the same as when they came for Mateo Musacchio… On that occasion Galliani came and said ‘I want the player, but I have no money’, then we ate fideuà (a local dish, ed.) and went home.
“We are making the movements that the market allows us. The premise is to have a better team than last year. I am happy with the situation.”
Real Madrid interested in Chukwueze
