Atletico Madrid are ready to drop the asking price for striker Alvaro Morata who has become a target for Italian Serie A giants.
Morata who has had two stints at Juventus is believed would fancy another move to the Italian league.
According to reports from Corriere dello Sport, the Colchoneros are no longer holding out for a fee of €21 million for the 30-year-old Spanish international and are believed to be holding for a fee in the region of €17 million.
Serie A clubs interested in Morata
Inter have made Morata one of their main targets in the striker position after pulling out of a deal for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.
The former Chelsea, Juventus, and Real Madrid man is the target whom Simone Inzaghi prefers.
Given the striker's ability to adapt perfectly to the Italian style of play, little or no questions have been spoken about him fitting into the league.
He has proven to be a reliable option in the Italian top flight during four seasons at the Bianconeri across two different spells.
Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma are also keen on signing Morata according to reports by FootItalia.
Mourinho has reportedly identified the 30-year-old as his main target in attack. Juventus are reported to fancy what could be a third stint for the Spaniard in Turin.
However, the price tag will still play a big role in determining whether Morata goes back to Serie A or not.
Atletico’s initial asking price for Morata was reported to be around €21 million but recent reports have seen the Spanish club reduce its asking price for the forward to €16-17 million.
