  • Fabinho has been linked with a move to Saudi league club Al Ittihad
  • The Liverpool midfielder is expected to depart Anfield this summer
  • Bayern Munich are also keen on signing the 29-year-old Brazilian

Bayern Munich are looking to strengthen their squad this summer and could attempt to hijack Al-Ittihad's move for Liverpool midfielder Fabinho.

Fabinho whose future appears away from Anfield and was reported to be in talks with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad could now be heading to the Allianz Arena in a surprising turn of events.

The Brazilian is under contract with Liverpool until 2026 and is reported to be valued by Liverpool at around €50 million per reports from ESPN.

Bayern who are of hope to get a deal done for the midfielder would look to shell out a sum in excess of this figure if they are going to facilitate a potential move.

The Bundesliga giants who were priced out of a deal for Declan Rice hope not to miss out on Fabinho who they have considered a worthy addition to their team.

Bayern also have their sights set on English forward Harry Kane who is reported by Goal to be keen on joining the German Champions.

Liverpool’s likely replacements for Fabinho

Liverpool who appears set to lose the service of the Brazilian are on the market for a replacement to fill the void to be created by the imminent departure of the midfielder.

Real Madrid's Aurelien Tchouameni has previously been courted by Liverpool though the Spanish club have reemphasised the non-transferable status of the midfielder.

The Reds are also considering making an approach to Crystal Palace for Cheick Doucoure. The Seagulls value their midfielder at £70m and would be unwilling to significantly reduce that fee.

Tottenham reject Bayern's second bid

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Bayern Munich’s bid to sign Harry Kane this summer from Tottenham Hotspur is proving more difficult than they may have anticipated.

Bayern had an offer of €60m plus add-ons to sign Kane rejected by Tottenham last month. Now the Bundesliga champions have returned with an improved deal.

The Bavarians have made an improved offer of €80m for the 29-year-old forward, as they are keen to bring the English forward to the Allianz Arena this summer
