Amidst the uncertainty surrounding his future at Atletico Madrid, Joao Felix has made a significant revelation about his admiration for Barcelona.
After his loan spell with Chelsea, Felix's situation with Atleti remains uncertain, and he has now openly shared his childhood aspirations of playing for the Catalan club.
The Portuguese international is determined to leave the Rojiblancos, particularly so if Diego Simeone continues as the coach, as their relationship has deteriorated, leading to his temporary move to the Premier League in January.
As his six-month loan spell with Chelsea concludes, Felix is now expected to embark on a new chapter in his career this summer.
During a conversation with Fabrizio Romano, he expressed that it would be a lifelong "dream" for him to have the opportunity to play at Camp Nou for Barcelona.
"I'd love to play for Barcelona. Barca has always been my first choice and I’d love to join them," Joao Felix said in an exclusive interview, as quoted by Tribuna.
"It was always my dream since I was a kid. If it happens, it will be a dream come true for me," the Portuguese concluded.

According to MARCA, Felix's remarks have deeply affected the club's leadership, who perceive his comments as both "unprofessional" and lacking respect.
They view his expression of a desire to leave Estadio Wanda Metropolitano as an attempt to force his departure, considering it a breach of conduct.
Felix given Barcelona green light
In a surprising turn of events, AS reported that Barcelona was on the brink of securing Felix's transfer in the January 2022 window, but Financial Fair Play regulations hindered the deal.
