Nigerian superstars Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis were captured as they paid a courtesy visit to England international Jesse Lingard.

The trio were teammates at Nottingham Forest, but the Premier League club has released Lingard following the expiration of his contract.

They were part of the squad that helped Forest escape relegation during the recently concluded 2022/2023 league season.

And footage has since gone viral on social media showing the moment the Nigerian players visited their ex-teammate in his home.

Nottingham Forest officially confirmed Jesse Lingard's departure. The former England player is among six senior players who were released as free agents, GOAL reports.

Awonyi will miss Lingard

Meanwhile, Taiwo Awoniyi has stated emphatically that he will miss former Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard at Nottingham Forest following the exit of the former England international.

Forest escaped relegation last season from the Premier League, with Awoniyi playing a significant role in helping the club to maintain its status in the English topflight.

Lingard is reported to be currently training at Inter Miami ahead of a possible move to another club this summer.

Meanwhile, Jesse Lingard took some time off his footballing woes to enjoy the lush beaches of Barbados.

The forward, who is currently without a club after seeing his £200,000-a-week contract with Nottingham Forest run out, shared snaps of himself in Barbados alongside a stunning lass identified as Yana Watts.

Despite uncertainty over his future, Lingard chose to unwind a little ahead of the summer, enjoying the Caribbean sun with Watts, who has been in Barbados for over a year if her Instagram activity is anything to go by.
