- Mahrez’s camp has urged Manchester City to discuss with Al-Ahli to finalise the deal
Riyad Mahrez could be the latest Premier League player to move to Saudi Arabia after receiving a tempting offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli.
The 32-year-old - who won the treble with City last month - has two years remaining on his current contract at the Etihad Stadium, but has seen his game time reduced drastically.
According to Goal, Mahrez had earlier clarified his intention of leaving City this summer, and the player has now reportedly agreed personal terms with Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli.
Al-Ahli are reportedly preparing a £30 million bid for the Algerian winger and will offer him a salary of £25m-per-year to tempt him away from the Premier League champions.
Both Al-Ahli and Manchester City are now set to hold talks in the next 24 to 48 hours over Mahrez's transfer, with the Saudi club keen on getting the deal done as soon as possible.
City to hold Mahrez talks
Meanwhile, Manchester City will speak to Mahrez before deciding whether to accept the Saudi Pro League side's bid.
The treble winners are hesitant to sell the 32-year-old winger, although he appears keen to end his five-year stint with the club and seal the mega move to the Middle East.
Since joining Manchester City from Leicester in 2018, Mahrez has made 236 appearances for City, scoring 78 goals, providing 59 assists, and winning multiple trophies, including the UEFA Champions League last season.
