Zinedine Zidane’s son, Theo Zidane, is set to stay at Real Madrid for another year after agreeing to extend his deal with the La Liga giants for another season.
Theo has impressed for Real Madrid’s Castilla team in the last 12 months as they narrowly lost out to Alcorcon in the promotion playoffs in June.
According to Tribal Football, the 21-year-old midfielder is set to extend his Real Madrid contract until the end of the 2023/24 season and will still feature for the Castilla side under Raul Gonzalez.
Carlo Ancelotti will keep an eye on Theo’s progress as he looks to bring the rising young talent into Los Blancos' first team at some point during the 2023/24 season, depending on his performances.
Theo will hope to one day follow in his father’s footsteps at Real Madrid and win trophies for the La Liga giants as he continues to push for a place in the first team.
Theo tipped for Madrid greatness
Meanwhile, Theo has been tipped to have a chance of making a greater impact at Real Madrid than his brothers, who have both been shipped out on loan, Football Espana reports.
The eldest of the trio, Luca plays for the Spanish lower division side, Eibar after the 25-year-old goalkeeper failed to seal a first-team spot with Los Blancos. The youngest, Enzo plies his trade with Fuenlabrada in Spain's third tier and also failed to make the main squad.
Enzo joins Portuguese side Aves
Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Enzo Zidane joining Portuguese club, Aves after being released by Lausanne.
The then 24-year-old made 34 appearances while on loan at Rayo Majadahonda in the Spanish second division.
Enzo started his career at Juventus' academy at a young age and later joined La Liga giants, Real Madrid, in 2004.
