  • Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr have been hit with a ban by the World Football governing body
  • They will not be able to sign any player this summer due to the fee they are owing Leicester City
  • Al-Nassr have not made the full payment from the signing of Ahmed Musa

Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr has been banned from registering new players in the ongoing summer transfer window after failing to pay a full transfer fee for former Leicester star Ahmed Musa who joined the club for £14m ($18m) in 2018.

The Super Eagles captain won the league with Al-Nassr but was released in 2020 with the club citing low performance from the former Kano Pillars star.

The world football governing board has now ruled that the club has failed to pay Leicester £390,000 in performance-related add-ons.

Having been warned in 2021 that they would face a registration ban if they did not pay up, it is now being reported that they have indeed been suspended from adding players to their squad.

How long will the ban last?

According to the reports on GOAL and Daily Post, the ban could be extended to three transfer windows unless Al-Nassr do what is expected from them by FIFA.

Meanwhile, Al-Nassr are taking a look at some players for them to join the team this summer but they will have to settle their issues with FIFA for them to have the green light.

Featuring in 60 games, Musa scored 11 goals and registered 14 assists before he left Al-Nassr.

Musa played on grassless pitch

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa joined his friends in Jos for a community football match.

The Nigeria and Sivasspor star, who is back home after a long season, thrilled hundreds of fans who were watching the winger exhibit his skills on a grassless pitch.

Interestingly, Musa was also wearing the captain's armband for the team he was representing.

The former Leicester City forward is seen fiercely competing with his friends, which includes other professional footballers.
