- PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has insisted that he has to sign a new contract or be sold this summer
It has now emerged that Kylian Mbappe would prefer a move to Arsenal if he were ever to move to the English Premier League.
As it has become the norm, the explosive forward is currently in the news, with his professional future remaining uncertain.
Mbappe was widely expected to join Real Madrid last summer as a free agent, only for him to make a sharp U-turn and pen a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain. The issue resurfaced again this year after Mbappe wrote a letter to the club's hierarchy informing them that he won't be signing a new deal.
This, in essence, means that should PSG fail to sell him this summer, the 24-year-old will leave as a free agent next year. Real Madrid are still believed to be his preferred destination if he quits the French giants.
Mbappe likes Arteta's style of play
New reports have now indicated that should the French national team captain decide to move to England, he would prefer to join the Gunners as he is attracted to Mikel Arteta's game plan.
The Independent's Miguel Delaney made the assertions but quickly added that Arsenal were highly unlikely to move in for him due to his astronomical wage demands.
Legendary Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has in the past claimed that he almost signed the former AS Monaco man as a teenager, as 442 reports.
