Real Madrid’s bid to sign Kylian Mbappe this summer could finally succeed following the club’s latest offer with the wantaway Paris Saint-Germain forward.
The future of the 2018 World Cup champion is uncertain, as PSG have given Mbappe until the end of this month to activate the one-year extension in his current deal or depart this summer.
According to Goal, PSG had earlier slammed a €200 million price tag on Mbappe and are open to negotiating a deal if any club matches their valuation as they seek to recoup some of the money spent on the forward.
Real Madrid have reportedly offered Mbappe a €50m salary if he joins the Spanish side this summer as they seek to replace the departed Karim Benzema.
The contract, which is set for five years, would include a €1 billion release clause that would prevent other clubs from making a move for the 24-year-old superstar anytime soon.
PSG send Mbappe stern warning
Meanwhile, If Kylian Mbappe attempts to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer, Paris Saint-Germain has warned they will be obliged to sell some of his teammates, Sky Sports reports.
PSG club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi is desperate to avoid the 24-year-old leaving the club for free after he sent a letter to the Parisians last month stating he had no intention of extending his contract, which expires in 2024.
Mbappe has been given a July 31 deadline to commit to staying at PSG until at least the summer of 2025, or he will be sold to the highest bidder the following month.
