FIFA World Cup winner, Kylian Mbappe has arrived in Yaoundé, Cameroon, for a three-day visit to the Central African nation.

Mbappe will spend the next few days touring the country, where he will meet reporters as well as engage authorities in a series of activities.

The French-born Cameroonian is set to build a recreational facility and social centres in Cameroon.

The 2018 World Cup star headed to Cameroon straight from the United States, where he was a guest at Michael Rubin's all-white party.

In a video shared on social media, Mbappe is seen arriving to a delightful cheer at the airport.

Mbappe will leave Cameroon on July 9 to join PSG ahead of pre-season.

The 24-year-old is expected to extend his contract with the French champions this summer.

“Our position is very clear,” said PSG chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi, as quoted by soccernews.com. “If Kylian Mbappe wants to stay – we want him to stay – he needs to sign a new contract. We cannot let the best player in the world right now leave for free. That is impossible.”
“This is a French club and, as he has said, he is not planning to leave for free. If somebody has changed his mind, it is not our fault.”

Mbappe makes PSG demands

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is far from settled as the 2022 World Cup Golden Boot winner enters the final year of his contract with the Parisians.

PSG have failed to convince the 24-year-old superstar to extend his current deal, which is due to expire at the end of the 2023/24 season, and are now looking to offload the French forward.

According to Sportskeeda, Mbappe has now asked to be paid a whopping €240 million by PSG if the reigning Ligue 1 champions are intent on getting rid of him this summer.
