According to Sky Sports, United have agreed on a £60million deal with Chelsea to sign Mount, who is expected to pen a five-year contract at Old Trafford.

The publication adds that contracts are being finalised ahead of a formal announcement in the coming hours.

Mount has since confirmed his imminent departure, with the 24-year-old making the announcement via an emotional video on Tuesday evening.

“Given the speculation over the last six months, this may not come as a surprise to you, but it doesn’t make it any easier to tell you I’ve made the decision to leave Chelsea. I feel you deserve more than just a written statement,” he said.
