FootballChelsea Desperate to Sell Romelu Lukaku With Potential Move for Dusan Vlahovic Lined Up
- Inter Milan has reiterated that Romelu Lukaku is a priority signing for them
- The striker remains a Chelsea player after the end of his one-year loan deal
- Chelsea are reportedly exploring a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic
Chelsea are reportedly keen on finding a solution for their Romelu Lukaku 'situation' this summer, with a permanent transfer on the cards.
Lukaku has repeatedly expressed his desire to remain at Inter Milan, where he was on loan for the whole of last season.
The Belgian striker featured on numerous occasions for Simone Inzaghi's team en route to the UEFA Champions League final, which they lost to Manchester City.
With Edin Dzeko having left the Italian club, Lukaku is set to enjoy more minutes and resume his partnership with Lautaro Martinez up front.
As Sempre Inter reports, Inter Milan's Corporate CEO, Alessandro Antonello, has labelled bringing the big Belgian back to Milan a priority.
The 30-year-old has three years left on his Chelsea deal and the Blues could be compelled to forfeit the €97.5 million they forked out to buy him.
Pochettino's striking options
The 2021 European Champions also want to free up space to move in for a new striker. Mauricio Pochettino, who officially began his new role on July 1, is without a recognised scorer heading into his first season in West London.
Christopher Nkunku has been roped in from RB Leipzig and while the Frenchman can play as a number 9, he is better suited elsewhere.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is highly unlikely to continue at Stamford Bridge, while last season's striker, Kai Havertz, has left for Arsenal. Armando Broja is still recuperating from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Juve FC reports that Chelsea have taken a solid interest in Dusan Vlahovic and should they offload Lukaku, they might move in for the Serbian.

FootballThe report stated there would be a meeting between officials from the two clubs this week to discuss potential player sales, with Vlahovic's name set to 'feature prominently'.
Five reasons Lukaku should return
Sports Brief previously analysed five reasons why Lukaku's return to Chelsea makes sense for both parties as the tussle continues for the future of the former West Brom striker.
The big Belgian striker is yet to fulfil his initial ambition of being Didier Drogba’s heir in West London, while the club need not spend heavily on another number 9 if they keep him.
