The seven-time Ballon d'Or winner will be moving to Inter Miami after an illustrious career with Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain that saw him win numerous titles.

According to The Mirror, a number of top footballers are expected to join Messi at the Florida-based club in the coming days.

Uruguay legend, Luis Suarez, and Spain international, Jordi Alba are expected to link up with the football icon at Inter Miami, while Barcelona legend, Sergio Busquets has also joined.

Real Madrid legend, Sergio Ramos and former Manchester United ace, Jesse Lingard have also been linked with a move to the club, with Metro UK reporting that the Englishman was recently spotted training with them.

"We spoke with Jordi Alba — while Luis Suarez has a contract and a release clause. I don't know if that will happen or not. All the announcements will be made before July 15," Inter Miami co-owner, Jorge Mas recently confirmed.

Inter Miami's possible line-up

The arrival of the well-known players could see Inter Miami have a much-changed team for the second half of the MLS season.

All six players would no doubt walk straight into the starting XI, with Messi expected to continue with his magical performances despite his advancing age.

American goalkeeper, Drake Steven Callender is expected to continue between the sticks, with Ramos partnering Serhiy Kryvtsov at the heart of defence.

Alba and Yedlin could be drafted on either flank of a back four as Lingard and Busquets take charge in midfield alongside Gregore.

Messi and Suarez would no doubt lead the attack, with Josef Martínez joining the experienced duo in hunting for goals.

Inter Miami's Messi hunt

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Inter Miami co-owner, Jorge Mas has opened up on the details of Lionel Messi’s transfer to the Major League Soccer franchise, admitting he was on the club's radar for some time.

Messi has joined the Miami-based side, also co-owned by David Beckham, after choosing not to renew his Paris Saint-Germain contract after two years in the French capital.

He shockingly left Barcelona in 2021 after La Blaugrana were unable to register his new contract due to financial constraints, and turned down a chance to make a fairytale return.

Mas has since opened up on when the club started tracking Messi, how long it took to convince him, what it took, and the financial details of the transfer.
