Kylian Mbappe’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is far from settled as the 2022 World Cup Golden Boot winner enters the final year of his contract with the Parisians.

PSG has failed to convince the 24-year-old superstar to extend his current deal, which is due to expire at the end of the 2023/24 season and is now looking to offload the French forward.

According to Sportskeeda, Mbappe has now asked to be paid a whopping €240million by PSG if the reigning Ligue 1 champions are intent of getting rid of him this summer.

The fee demanded by Mbappe includes the wages the French club would have paid him in the following season and a loyalty bonus he will be due in a few months.

PSG could lose the 2022/23 Ligue 1 most valuable player for free next summer as he could sign a pre-contract agreement with long-term suitors Real Madrid as early as January 1st if he is not sold this summer.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid will not make a summer approach for Kylian Mbappe because they believe the Paris Saint-Germain attacker is a prisoner of money, Daily Post reports.

There is uncertainty over the Frenchman’s future, as the 24-year-old forward has confirmed he will not sign a contract extension on his current deal with PSG which runs out in June 2024.

Mbappe is also understood to be demanding €240million if he is to join any club before next season.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Kylian Mbappe’s decision not to renew his current deal with Paris Saint-Germain has not gone well with some of his countrymen, with ex-France international Rolland Courbis agitated at the forward.

The 24-year-old superstar is tied to PSG until 2024 and has informed the Ligue 1 champions that he intends to move on when his contract expires, with Real Madrid waiting to snap him up.

Courbis has now told Mbappe he will not play again for PSG amidst his contract dispute which would see him become a free agent at the end of next season.
