  • Ex-French defender Rolland Courbis has lashed out at Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe

  • Mbappe’s present deal with PSG runs out in the summer of 2024 with an option of one extra year

Kylian Mbappe’s decision not to renew his current deal with Paris Saint-Germain has not gone well with some of his countrymen, with ex-France international Rolland Courbis agitated at the forward.

The 24-year-old superstar is tied to PSG until 2024 and has informed the Ligue 1 champions that he intends to move on when his contract expires, with Real Madrid waiting to snap him up.

According to Sportskeeda, Courbis has now told Mbappe he will not play again for PSG amidst his contract dispute which would see him become a free agent at the end of next season.

"You don't think you're going to play for a year and say goodbye to us! If that's your idea, have a reunion with your family, because you're not going to play Paris Saint-Germain for a minute anymore! "

To avoid losing Mbappe for free, PSG could be forced to sell Mbappe in this transfer window, although for a hefty fee.

Mbappe to Madrid gets new twist

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe is determined to fulfil the second season of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain, thereby stalling his purported move to Real Madrid, Fansided reports.

That would mean the 24-year-old forward collecting a total of €150 million from PSG, which comprises his annual salary of €60 million and a loyalty bonus of €90 million.

After that, the 2022 World Cup Golden Ball winner plan involves negotiating a transfer bonus of around €100 million to €125 million as compensation for arriving at Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Real Madrid agree on €250m fee

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Real Madrid are set to complete the biggest transfer of the 2023 summer window after reportedly reaching an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to buy Kylian Mbappe.

The 24-year-old French forward has been on Los Blancos' radar for years, with club chief, Florentino Perez, a keen admirer of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Golden Ball winner.

The Emir of Qatar - Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani - and Perez have reportedly agreed on a €250 million deal, including €50mil in bonuses, for Mbappe to join Real Madrid this summer.
