Ghanaian winger Yaw Yeboah scored a stunning volley to help Columbus Crew continue their run of form in the Major League Soccer with victory over the New York Red Bulls.

The former Black Meteors captain's second half strike ensured Crew are now five wins in their last six games, moving to fifth place in the Eastern Conference table.

Yeboah started for the Gold and Blacks at the Stadium and lasted 95 minutes before he was replaced by Maximilian Artsfen.

In a video shared on social media, the 26-year-old met a brilliant cross from Canadian midfielder Mohamed Farsi, before firing home for the winner.

The host, Columbus Crew, had opened the scoring after just 19 minutes through Juan Cucho Hernandez, who finished off a team move with a cheeky flick.

New York Red Bulls levelled before the break through Elias Manoel.

Yeboah's Ghanaian compatriot Ronald Donkor came on in the 76th minute for Red Bulls after replacing Fernandez Mosso.

The Columbus Crew star has now netted two goals in the 2023 MLS regular season.

Yeboah scores incredible solo goal

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Former Ghana U-23 captain, Yaw Yeboah, scored an incredible solo goal for Wisła Kraków in the Polish league on Saturday to catch the attention of ESPN.

The nimble footed player took out four defenders after skillfully controlling the ball, before brilliantly gliding his way through a sea of players to fire in his side's second in the 3-1 victory over Gornik Leczna.

In a video posted on Twitter by American Sports channel, ESPN, sighted by, the video of Yeboah's goal got them stunned.

Columbus Crew sign Yaw Yeboah

Ghana's Yaw Yeboah has finally left Europe for the United States after signing a deal with Major League Soccer side Columbus Crew in the winter transfer window.

The former Manchester City prodigy inked a two year deal with the option of extending for a further year on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Yeboah's move was announced by Columbus Crew on Thursday, with the 2020 MLS champions thrilled to acquire the August Player of the Month in the Polish league this season.
