Lionel Messi’s move to the Major League Soccer has got the Argentina superstar scouting for his fifth apartment in the city of his new club Miami.

The Argentina superstar announced he will be joining Inter Miami this summer after refusing to extend his deal with Paris Saint-Germain despite winning the Ligue 1 twice with the Parisians.

According to Sportskeeda, Messi already has four homes in Miami, all of which cost a total of £15million, but he is in search of a property that has a waterside condo.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner had already splashed £7million on a Porsche Design Tower that sits on 4,400 square meters and also owns the entire ninth floor of the Regalia Tower on Collins Avenue, which cost £6million.

Messi also has two properties at the luxurious Trump Royale Tower; the ex-Barcelona captain spent £800,000 each on the towers.

Shakira and Messi Miami battle

Meanwhile, Colombia singer Shakira and Argentina captain Lionel Messi will be involved in a silent battle for who will be Miami’s number-one star after both superstars moved to America, Marca reports.

The pop star relocated there after splitting from former Barcelona defender Gerard Pique, whilst Messi only recently moved after switching from Paris Saint-Germain to Inter Miami.

Both Shakira and Messi must now strive to become the king or queen of the Florida city because each has their own commercial interests outside of music and sports, respectively.

Messi wins Goal of the Season

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Lionel Messi has been awarded the UEFA Champions League goal of the season for his goal against Benfica, but fans believe there is a better and more significant goal.

Messi has left Europe but has got one more piece of shiny metal to accompany him to Major League Soccer, where he is expected to resume later in July.

He departed Europe after two years at Paris Saint-Germain and opted for the United States when it was obvious a move to his former club Barcelona could not be done due to financial issues.
