Super Eagles of Nigeria have been placed in Pot One ahead of the African draws for the 2026 FIFA World Cup which will be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States of America.
The three-time African champions are not the only ones in Pot One as the likes of Morocco, Senegal, and Tunisia are also among the teams.
Many Nigerian football fans were pained by how the Super Eagles missed the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after losing the playoffs against Ghana.
They forced the Black Stars to a goalless draw in the first leg in Kumasi before playing a 1-1 draw in the return fixture in Abuja.
However, Ghana did not do well at the World Cup as they crashed out in the Group Stages.
