FootballEvra Reveals How 'Super Competitive' Cristiano Ronaldo Reacted to Losing a Game
- Cristiano Ronaldo is both an exceptional footballer and an extraordinary competitor
- The Portuguese forward has exerted dominance at whatever club he turned out for
- Manchester United legend Patrice Evra and Ronaldo were teammates for three years
Manchester United legend, Patrice Evra, has opened up over how Cristiano Ronaldo once reacted after losing a game of table tennis.
The two shared a dressing room at Old Trafford for three years during Ronaldo's first stint at the club from 2003 to 2009, where they won countless trophies including the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
It was here where the Portuguese icon's rise to stardom began before his moves to Real Madrid and Juventus, where he became recognised as one of the best players of all-time.
It would be fair to say Ronaldo's competitive edge was also nurtured at United, where the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson regularly pushed him to the limit.
The veteran's former Manchester United, Evra, revealed the current Al-Nassr captain adopted a similar must-win attitude when taking on Rio Ferdinand at table tennis.
Evra told ITV's World Cup podcast, as quoted by Marca:
"They were playing table tennis and Rio beat him and we were all screaming. Ronaldo was so upset. Then he sent his cousin to buy a table tennis set. He trained for two weeks and came back and beat Rio in front of everyone. That's Cristiano Ronaldo. He's a machine."
Ronaldo has certainly proved he has no intention of losing his edge when it comes to his impressive fitness levels, even after switching European competition for the Middle East.
Evra joins Ronaldo for lunch
Marca also reported on Evra suggesting that anyone who gets an invite to have lunch at Ronaldo's house should think twice - he was once invited over for a meal but was given light, healthy food and forced to train.

FootballThe veteran's dedication to being the best he can be has earned him five Champions League titles, the UEFA Euro 2016 title with Portugal, also the inaugural UEFA Nations League and many other titles and accolades.
Ronaldo currently holds the record for most international goals scored and most international appearances in men’s football history, with the superstar also tipped to be part of Portugal’s 2026 FIFA World Cup squad.
Ferdinand blasts ‘Shameful’ Ronaldo critics
Sports Brief previously reported on Ferdinand strongly criticising the media for singling out Ronaldo following his move to the Saudi Pro League.
The Portuguese star opted to shockingly trade Europe for the Middle East following a turbulent second stint with Man United, joining Al-Nassr.
However, Ronaldo's transfer received backlash from a section of the media, with some calling it a 'disappointing' conclusion to his star career.
