Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has thanked God for giving him the chance to be alive to celebrate the 2023 Sallah festival with his family claiming that he has all reasons to be grateful.

On Wednesday, June 28, Muslims in Nigeria and many parts of the world celebrated the Eid Mubarak which is the festival of sacrifice and love.

Sallah is a prominent Islamic festival celebrated by Muslims all over the world regardless of Sunni, or Sufism to replicate the historic faithfulness and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham).

According to the awesome photo Musa posted on his official Twitter page, the former Premier League player is seen wearing a Brown overall agbada attire to go with black suede shoes and traditional headgear.

Musa's celebration comes after showing up for the national football team during the international break as he helped the Super Eagles beat Sierra Leone in Liberia.

Sports Brief spoke with Ahmed Musa on how he is celebrating the Sallah festival, and the former Kano Pillars forward expressed happiness to be with his people.

''Alhamdulillah and thanks to Almighty Allah for the grace to witness another festival with my family. We are in Jos and doing fine. I wish everyone the best in this period of Sallah.''

Ahmed Musa donates school bags

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa donated educational materials to students and pupils of the prestigious M&S International School in Jos.

Last October, the Sivasspor of Turkey forward completed and opened the ultra-modern educational facility in the Plateau State capital and named it after his parents, Musa and Sarah.

He continued with his philanthropic work toward children as he distributed school bags and books to them.

The 30-year-old ensured that each of them received the items to support their education.
