FootballWhy Kylian Mbappe Cannot Join Real Madrid This Summer Amid Transfer Saga
- Kylian Mbappe has been on Real Madrid's transfer wishlist since last year
- The 24-year-old has hinted he will not continue with PSG after next season
- PSG are ready to part ways with the star if he doesn't extend his current deal
Yvan Le Mee, the agent representing Real Madrid defender, Ferland Mendy, has dismissed the possibility of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) superstar, Kylian Mbappe, making a move to the Spanish giants.
Mbappe's current contract with PSG is set to expire next summer, and he has officially communicated his decision not to exercise the one-year extension clause.
This announcement has caused dissatisfaction among PSG's top management, leading to speculation the club is open to parting ways with the 24-year-old if he does not reconsider his future with the team this summer, Forbes reports.
The ongoing situation in Paris has reignited Real Madrid's interest in the French forward, despite his declining an offer to join the Spanish capital last year.
However, according to Le Mee, the much-discussed transfer of Mbappe to Los Blancos will not happen this summer.
Mendy's agent suggested the club is currently facing financial constraints, having already made signings such as Bundesliga 2022/23 Player of the Year, Jude Bellingham, and Espanyol striker, Joselu.
"Will Mbappé go to Madrid this summer? Absolutely not. I'm close to Real Madrid. They have no money," the football agent said, as quoted by Madrid Zone.
Mee slams Mbappe's agent
While dismissing Mbappe's rumoured move to Real Madrid, Le Mee also expressed criticism of Mbappe's mother, Fayza Lamari, Sports Brief reported.
He questioned her suitability as a representative and agent for her footballing sons, Kylian and Ethan, highlighting her lack of licensing in football.
Furthermore, Le Mee asserted that had Mbappe been guided by a qualified agent, his career trajectory would have taken a significantly different route.

Sports Brief also reported on Real Madrid needing to break their current transfer record if they insist on signing Mbappe from PSG this summer.
The 24-year-old French forward has been a key target for Los Blancos, with president, Florentino Perez, confident they will sign the star shortly.
PSG slapped a €200mil price tag on Mbappe as they reportedly try to offload their disgruntled star, who still has one year left on his current deal.
