  • Harry Kane could leave Tottenham this summer with a big decision ahead of him
  • He has interest and concrete offers from three top European clubs
  • Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich are all offering him a path out of London

Harry Kane is arguably one of the best strikers of this generation, but he has a stain on his career, as he has yet to win a trophy, despite being both his club and country’s all-time top scorer.

Bayern Munich and Manchester United hold concrete interest in the English striker. At the same time, Real Madrid also discussed him as a potential replacement for Karim Benzema, who left for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

Sports Brief looks in-depth into the decision he has to make, including staying at Tottenham Hotspur, and what each club has to offer him.

1. Real Madrid

Los Blancos is the biggest football club in the world, having won 35 La Liga titles and 14 UEFA Champions League trophies. Kane is similar to the departed Benzema, he can drop deep to operate and is efficient both with his legs and head.

Moving to Spain offers him guaranteed trophies, as the capital club are serial winners and completed the league and continental double two years ago.

2. Bayern Munich

According to The Athletic, the German champions hold substantial interest in Kane and saw a €70m offer rejected.

Former Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel wants to fill the void left by a natural goalscorer, the last of which was Robert Lewandowski, who left for Barcelona.

Kane’s ability to play off wingers and double 10s will be pivotal in Tuchel’s favoured 3-4-3, which he used to succeed at Stamford Bridge. A move to Germany guarantees him trophies, at least the Bundesliga title.

3. Manchester United

Erik ten Hag is said to have seen the former Arsenal academy graduate as a priority for his number 9 role to solve United’s problem in front of goal.

The Red Devils were put off by the £100m valuation on Kane by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, a reputable difficult negotiator in Europe.

The team at Old Trafford is budding under the Dutch tactician and have just broken a six-year trophy drought; it looks like a risk, and with uncertainty surrounding the ownership takeover, he should think twice.

On the other hand, according to NBC Sports, Kane is 47 goals away from breaking Alan Shearer’s Premier League record of 260 goals, and switching from London to Manchester affords him the opportunity to break this record.

4. Tottenham Hotspur

The last option is to stay at Tottenham Hotspur and continue building on his legacy under new boss Ange Postecoglou, but this is the least advisable of his choices. He has often chosen to be loyal, but he remains empty-handed.

At 29, soon to be 30, he faces a race against time to achieve trophies that will put him among the elite strikers.

Five alternatives to Harry Kane

Sports Brief analysed five alternative strikers to Harry Kane after Manchester United reportedly cooled their interest in him due to his transfer fee.

If true that the fee was why United cooled interest, it would not be easy to get any of his alternatives, who are also valued at £80m or higher, including Victor Osimhen and Rasmus Hojlund.
