Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan shared a funny moment with Mohammed Kudus at the Ghana Football Awards held in Accra on Sunday, June 25, 2023.

The Ajax star was named the Ghana Footballer of the Year after an outstanding season with his club and country.

Kudus was the best player for the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where he scored two goals and provided an assist in three games.

The 22-year-old also played a key role at Ajax last season, scoring 18 goals and providing five assists across all competitions for the Dutch giants.

In a video shared on social media, Gyan is seen encouraging Kudus to go for his photos while joking it is his time to now that he has retired.

Gyan emotionally announced his retirement from football a week ago after a career spanning almost two decades.

Meanwhile, Kudus is currently on the radar of Brighton and Hove Albion, who are seriously preparing an offer for the attacking midfielder, according to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

Other clubs interested in the Ghanaian midfielder are Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund.

Ajax name price for Kudus

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Dutch giants, Ajax Amsterdam are ready to sell Ghanaian midfielder, Mohammed Kudus in the summer transfer window.

The former Eredivisie champions will reportedly allow the wantaway midfielder to leave after refusing to extend his current deal, which expires in June 2025.

Several clubs have shown interest in the World Cup star, who came close to joining Everton last summer.
