Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been spotted in Egypt as he enjoys vacation after a historic season with the English club.

Egypt is the biggest tourist destination in Africa, with 11.7 million international tourists in 2022, and the Spaniard is in the North African country to enjoy his summer.

It was gathered that the tactician and his family members would spend two days in Cairo, followed by six days exploring Luxor and Aswan.

They were pictured at the museum artifacts, Giza pyramids, as they also cruised on the Nile cruise, according to Arab News.

The CEO of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion, Amr Al-Qadi, stated that the former Barcelona manager was welcomed into the country on Thursday.

While in the country’s capital, the manager took time to see the National Museum of Civilization in Fustat and marvelled at the impressive collection of artifacts, representing Egyptian civilization.

Meanwhile, Guardiola handed members of Manchester City's backroom staff gifts following a historic season that saw the club win the treble.

Manchester City became only the second English club to win the treble after beating Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions League final on June 10, to claim their first European title.

He had retained the Premier League title earlier after eclipsing longtime leaders Arsenal before dispatching their cross-city rivals, Manchester United, in the FA Cup final.

Guardiola speaks on quitting Man City

Sports Brief earlier reported that Pep Guardiola has reportedly decided to quit the club when his contract expires in 2025.

Having won almost every available trophy at the Etihad Stadium, Guardiola has reportedly decided to end his City career in the next couple of years.

The 52-year-old has an active contract with the Manchester club that will expire in 2025, having penned a renewal of his deal back in November 2021.
