Black Stars debutant, Ernest Nuamah has been nominated for the 2023 Golden Boy award.

The 19-year-old has been included in the list of 100 best young players in the world for the award that is presented to the most outstanding U-21 player.

Nuamah will be competing with new Real Madrid signing, Jude Bellingham and Bayern Munich's youngster, Jamal Musiala for the top award.

According to a list published by europeangoldenboy.com, the teen sensation has a rating of 74.6 and is ranked 26th.

Other players making the list include Manchester United and Argentina forward, Alejandro Garnacho as well as Xavi Simons of PSV.

Nuamah made his Black Stars debut on Sunday in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar, as reported by Ghana Guardian.

The FC Nordsajaelland forward enjoyed an amazing season with the Danish outfit, helping them finish second in the campaign.

Nuamah was also named the best player in the Danish Superliga as well as the best young player in the league.

Another Ghanaian making the list is Bonsu Baah of Sarpsborg, who is ranked 59th, with a rating of 66.6.

Nuamah makes Ghana debut

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Nuamah and Patrick Kpozo of Sheriff Tiraspol were handed their Black Stars debuts by coach, Chris Hughton.

Kpozo started as Ghana were held to a goalless draw in Antananarivo while teenager, Nuamah came on in the second half.

The Moldova-based defender was making his first appearance for the national team following the absence of Gideon Mensah, who failed to pass a late fitness test.

Talented teen forward, Ernest Nuamah has finally been properly inducted into the Ghana national team.

The 19-year-old forward joined the Black Stars for the first time this week ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Madagascar.

Nuamah could make his debut for the four-time African champions in the penultimate Group E game in Antananarivo.
