In an exciting game last night, Dreams got off to a bright start after youngster Aziz Issah whipped in a beautiful freekick which missed the post by few inches.

Moments later, Issah made it count after a dazzling run on the right before slotting home the opener after 20 minutes, as reported by Ghanafa.org.

The talented winger who ended the game as Man of the Match was a menace to the defence of King Faisal, causing trouble on the right.

However, after the break, King Faisal improved their performance as they chased an equalizer. The In Sha Allah boys came close a few times but could not find the net.

Dreams FC replaced Emmanuel Agyei with Sadiq Alhassan in the final 23 minutes, hoping to close the game with an insurance goal.

Three minutes after coming on, Alhassan scored the most important goal as Dreams comfortably strolled to victory.

Dreams FC coach, Karim Zito admits the journey to winning the FA Cup has not been an easy one.

“There’s no achievement without hard work. It was so difficult, but we were focused most especially when we found ourselves at the bottom of the league. So, it made the work so tedious for me but I tried to separate it. I tried to concentrate on the league. After placing 6th which is a record for the club, we now come back to focus on the champion and today I thank God we have been able to win,” he told StarTimes, as quoted by GHANASoccernet.

Medeama crown GPL champions

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Medeama SC have been crowned champions of Ghana after a successful 2022/23 season.

The Tarkwa-based club ended the campaign top of the league with 60 points to win their first-ever Ghana Premier League title.

The Mauve and Yellow needed at least a point in their last game of the season to be champions, and did that in emphatic style, thumping Tamale City at home.
