Medeama SC have been crowned champions of Ghana after a successful 2022/23 season.

The Tarkwa-based club ended the campaign top of the league with 60 points to win their first-ever Ghana Premier League title.

The Mauve and Yellow needed at least a point in their last game of the season to be champions, and did that in emphatic style, thumping Tamale City at home.

A first-half strike from Joshua Agyeman and a second-half brace from Jonathan Sowah ensured the former FA Cup winners wrapped up the league title in phenomenal fashion, as reported by Kickgh.

Medeama SC will now represent Ghana in next season's CAF Champions League, while the winner of the FA Cup between King Faisal and Dreams FC will participate in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Bibiani Gold Stars striker, Abednego Tetteh finished the season as top scorer with 18 goals, as reported by Pulse.

Meanwhile Kotoku Royals, King Faisal, and Tamale City have all been relegated after a disappointing campaign.

The league will see Hearts of Lions, Nations FC, and Tano Bofoakwa all back in the domestic topflight.

Hearts win President Cup
