After the sale of Erling Haaland to Manchester City last summer, Borussia Dortmund are set to lose another star forward to Europe’s most successful team Real Madrid.
The Spanish giants are currently in dire need of a marquee forward following the departure of Karim Benzema to Al Ittihad, and Karim Adeyemi has popped up as one of their targets.
According to Goal, Real Madrid will be willing to pay as high as €80m to convince Borussia Dortmund to sell the striker, who still has four years left on his current deal.
Adeyemi penned a five-year contract with the Bundesliga club when he joined from RB Salzburg last summer as a replacement for the treble winner with Manchester City Erling Haaland.
The Nigerian-born German international has impressed in his first season with BVB, scoring 6 goals in the Bundesliga as Dortmund almost grabbed the league title but lost out on the final day.
Real Madrid wants Havertz deal
Meanwhile, Real Madrid will only be able to sign the 23-year-old German forward Kai Havertz if Chelsea are willing to offer them a bargain deal, Chelsea Chronicles reports.
Havertz was reportedly the subject of interest from Real Madrid, which was led by manager and former Blues coach Carlo Ancelotti.
However, it quickly became clear that the financial aspects of a deal would be difficult for them to agree on. The London club does not want to lose too much money.
Havertz reportedly approves Arsenal move
Earlier, Sports Brief reported Chelsea star, Kai Havertz has reportedly declared his willingness to seal a stunning summer move to Arsenal.
The Gunners are said to have registered their interest in sealing the transfer of the German international.
It is believed that Arsenal are looking to push for Havertz's move once they wrap up the transfer of West Ham United's midfield maestro, Declan Rice, who is their top transfer target.
