Elneny has been sidelined for the majority of the season, but the hierarchy has kept faith in him by extending his contract until the summer of 2024, as reported by BBC Sports.

He joined Arsenal from Swiss club FC Basel in 2016. He is currently the club’s longest-serving player. He has played 155 times for the team but remains out with a knee injury, and his return is uncertain.
