He stated that it is not a time for blame, adding that his boys stood up to a quality Manchester City side.

He told Sky Sports Italia via SuperSport:

“On a night like this, I can’t single players out who played below par. I said yesterday I would not change my players for anyone else, and tonight the world saw why,” Inzaghi told Sky Sports Italia.
“They showed the whole world how well they stood up to Manchester City, a side that everyone knows has so much quality.
“I hugged my players one by one, as they were extraordinary, just as our fans were and deserved a different result, but I hope they were happy seeing the way the team played tonight.”

Man Utd star aims dig at Man City

Manchester United full-back Brandon Williams aimed a savage dig at Manchester City moments after the club confirmed a famous treble.

Also, it makes City the first team to win the treble in England since Manchester United famously did the same in 1999 under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Williams, who was born a year after United won the treble, took to his Instagram stories and posted, “Nobody wants a sloppy second”, alongside three Red Devils' emojis.

Burna Boy thrills fans

Meanwhile, Nigerian Grammy-award-winning singer Burna Boy produced an epic performance to thrill fans at the Ataturk Stadium minutes before the start of the UEFA Champions League final.

Burna Boy performed some of his hit records, including global chart-topping Last Last.

Alongside the Nigerian was a spectacular display from Brazilian singer Anitta as fans jumped off their seats in excitement.
