Former Ghana midfielder, Michael Essien joined a legendary group of ex-footballers for a special game before the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday.
Essien and past winners of the competition including Clarence Seedorf and Kaka assembled in Istanbul for a legendary game as part of events before the big game.
Manchester City will will battle it out with Inter Milan for for the ultimate prize in Europe's elite competition at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium.
In photos shared on social media, Essien, Kaka, Luis Figo and 2007 winner Cafu were seen engaged in an entertaining match.
Three teams, which comprises of UEFA Champions League legends and former players of the Turkey face off on Friday, as reported by UEFA.com.
Friday will end with electric performances from International DJ Lost Frequencies, hosted by Go Türkiye, with additional display by Emiran, Chris Luno B2B Ceaus and Guillaume de Kadebostany.
Meanwhile, Manchester City are chasing a historic treble after winning the Premier League and the English FA Cup.
Inter Milan could wrap up the season with the double if they beat City in the final on Saturday.
Essien opens up on Real Madrid move
