- City are seen as the odds-on favourite to win their first-ever UCL trophy in Istanbul on Saturday
- Inter are no pushovers and have supporters of their own who put faith in them
Former Inter Milan striker, Adriano, has put faith in his former team to beat English champions Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday.
The Ataturk Olympic Stadium, initially scheduled to host last year but pushed to this year, will host the two sides in what promises to be an entertaining encounter.
The Citizens beat 15-time champions Real Madrid 5-1 in the semi-final, while Inter Milan beat city rivals and seven-time champions AC Milan 3-0.
Pep Guardiola hopes to guide City to their first-ever win, while Inter will be a first-time winner since 2010 under Jose Mourinho when they beat Guardiola’s Barcelona in the semi-final.
Adriano bets on Inter Milan
The Brazilian striker is confident his former team, the Nerazzurri, will neutralise the threats posed by the dominant English champions.
According to Football Italia, he shared a screenshot of a bet he placed on Inter to win on Instagram. He placed 10,000 Brazilian Reais (€2,000) on 7.5 odds and will get a return of 75,000 (€15,000) if his team wins.
Adriano played for Inter Milan over two stints, as a teenager in the 2001/02 season, before going out on loan, returning to San Siro in 2004, and spending five successful years.
In his own words on Players Tribune, he revealed that the tragic death of his father in 2004 made him fall out of love with football and struggled after. He retired in 2016 with MLS side Inter Miami.

Sports Brief reported that a Manchester City fan got treble tattoo ahead of the Champions League final in a sheer show of confidence in his team.
City have been crowned domestic double winners and will complete the historic treble if they beat the Italian giants to win their first-ever Champions League trophy on Saturday.
