  • Manchester City and Inter Milan will battle for the Champions League trophy on Saturday
  • City are odds-on favourites, but Inter are no pushovers in finals under Simone Inzaghi
  • Pep Guardiola’s men will clinch the treble if they win, having already won the Premier League and FA Cup

A Manchester City fan is confident of his team’s victory in the UEFA Champions League final against Inter Milan on Saturday in Istanbul.

The English club and the Italian giants will battle it out for Europe’s most prestigious club competition at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Turkey.

City dispatched record-holders Real Madrid 5-1 on aggregate to reach the final, while Nerazzurri made light work of their city rivals AC Milan 3-0 in the other semi-final.

The English champions are odds-on favourites, but you never can tell in a cup final- surprises happen. City were favourites against Chelsea in 2021, but the Londoners nicked it under Thomas Tuchel.

City fan gets treble tattoo

Since Abu Dhabi Group took over City in 2008, they have seen an upward turn in their fortunes. Guardiola becoming manager in 2016 and enjoying years of sustained success has made the City fans confident.

According to a video shared on TikTok by Stuart3108, he got the treble tattoo as he landed in Turkey for the final, showing extreme confidence in his team’s chances.

The tattoo featured an image of the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League trophies around the club’s logo, inked on his calf.

The Cityzens completed a 'three-peat' of the English League title after overtaking Arsenal. According to Front Office Sports, it helped the club become the most valuable football brand, overtaking European giants Real Madrid.

City must not underestimate Inter

Sports Brief earlier reported on how City must not underestimate Inter in the final on Saturday, despite being popular favourites to win their first trophy in Europe.

Under Simone Inzaghi, the black and blue side of Milan are yet to lose a knockout game and a final, having won back-to-back Coppa Italia trophies.

The Italian legend is yet to lose a final in seven consecutive attempts, after he lost his first Coppa Italia as Lazio manager. This should provide some worry for Guardiola and his team.
