FootballPep Guardiola Extols Qualities of 'Exceptional' Andre Onana Ahead of UCL Final
- Pep Guardiola has expressed concern in regards to how Inter Milan plays

- Guardiola believes Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana will play a key role for Inter
Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola is full of praise for Cameroon and Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana ahead of the UEFA Champions League final.
Onana has been in fine form for the Italian giants this season, helping them win the Coppa Italia and finish third in Serie A.
In Europe's elite competition, the former Ajax shot-stopper has kept eight clean sheets as the Nerazurris reached the final for the first time in 13 years.
Ahead of Saturday's game, Guardiola revealed he was weary of the threat of Inter and admits Onana has been key to the way they play.
"They have a lot of history and have done well in the last couple of years. They have a good shape not just in how they defend but how good they are with the ball in the transition when they lead with the strikers. They have a really good process which starts with Andre Onana - who is an exceptional keeper with build-up, so it makes our high pressing difficult," he said as quoted by the BBC.
Inter Milan are returning to the final of the competition since last winning it in 2010, but Onana claims the pressure will be on Manchester City.
“This is a special match for us,” said Onana, as reported by SempreInter.
“This is something that can happen once in a lifetime,” he noted. ‘That means that we have to be prepared. We can’t have any stress. We will be up against a very strong opponent,” he added.
