Ghanaian teen sensation, Ernest Nuamah has been voted the Player of the Season in the Danish Superliga.
The 19-year-old inspired FC Nordsjaelland to a serious title challenge against eventual champions FC Copenhagen.
His outstanding performances saw him score 12 goals and provide four assists as Nordsjaelland finish the season in second place.
Nuamah got the most votes from players of the twelve topflight clubs to emerge the best player of the season.
"Player of the Year – voted by the players - Ernest Nuamah. The Players Association {Spillerforening) have collected votes for the selection of Profile of the Year from the players in all 12 clubs in Denmark, and here the 19-year-old striker reached the top. Congratulations, Ernest Numah," wrote his club, FC Nordsjaelland, confirming his success.
Few days ago, the player was also named the coaches player for Spring in the Danish league. It crowns an amazing week, where the teenager also received his maiden Black Stars invite.
He is expected to join the national team for the AFCON qualifier against Madagascar this month.
Numah wins top award
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian youngster, Ernest Nuamah celebrated his maiden Black Stars invite by scooping the best player award in Spring in the Danish Superliga.
The 19-year-old was voted the best player in the league by coaches following his outstanding displays for FC Nordsjaelland.
Nuamah, who has scored 12 goals this season, went from the sixth-best player in Autumn to being top in Spring.
