Talented Ghanaian Teen Ernest Nuamah Wins Top Award in Danish Superliga

Ghanaian youngster, Ernest Nuamah celebrated his maiden Black Stars invite by scooping the best player award in Spring in the Danish Superliga.

The 19-year-old was voted the best player in the league by coaches following his outstanding displays for FC Nordsjaelland.

Nuamah, who has scored 12 goals this season, went from the sixth-best player in Autumn to being top in Spring.

The best player in Autumn, Andreas Schjelderup, presented the award to the Nordsjaelland star through a heartwarming video message.

"Hi guys, it's been a pleasure following all you guys in the past month. I miss you so much and I just want to stop by and congratulate Ernest 'Nana Messi' Nuamah for the award for the player of the spring that was voted by all the managers," said Schjelderup.
"You've got some big shoes to step in with the penalties and you did that very well, I enjoy watching you play," he added.

Nuamah shared his excitement after receiving the award, praising his teammates and coaches for playing a role in his success.

"First of all, I want to thank everybody, my teammates and coaches for this amazing season. We put everything together and it was not only me, but I am proud of the team and what we have achieved this season," he said, as quoted by the club's website.

The teen sensation received his maiden Black Stars call up on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, and will be part of the team for the game against Madagascar later this month.

Nuamah earns Black Stars invite

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that talented young forward, Ernest Nuamah has been handed his maiden Black Stars call-up ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar in June.

Ghana's national coach, Chris Hughton included the winger in his 24-man squad for the penultimate qualifier in Antananarivo on June 18.

The Ghana U-23 star has been in sensational form for FC Nordsjaelland in the Danish Superliga, earning him a place in the Black Stars team.
