Karim Benzema’s sudden desire to leave Real Madrid this summer has left the La Liga giants in limbo and desperate to sign another franchise player as soon as possible.
Benzema has spent 14 seasons at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, becoming Real Madrid’s second-highest goal-scorer behind Cristiano Ronaldo, winning five Champions League titles and four La Liga crowns.
According to Madrid Universal, Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez is determined to replace Benzema with either Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe or Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
The move to sign either of the superstar strikers will be made in 2024 and not during the summer transfer window as has been widely speculated.
Perez is keen on still bringing in marquee names to the Santiago Bernabeu as he maintains the best players around the world should be playing for Real Madrid.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid manager, Diego Simeone believes city rivals, Real Madrid thrive at signing the best players and has backed Mbappe to join Los Blancos, Goal reports.
The French star has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish giants this summer despite still having two years left on his current deal with Paris Saint-Germain.
Mbappe snubbed a move to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2022, but reports suggest he is once again considering joining Real Madrid after PSG failed in Europe this term.
