  • Jose Mourinho was not a happy man after AS Roma were beaten on penalties in the Europa League final
  • English referee Anthony Taylor was at the centre of controversies in the tense final game against Sevilla
  • Mourinho was involved in a parking lot altercation where he uttered some explicit words at the official

Jose Mourinho is a man of many phases - two days ago, he was causing drama after the Europa League final and now he is back in Rome, showing love to fans.

He guided AS Roma to their second European final in his second season but lost out to Europa giants Sevilla, who won 4-1 on penalties after a shootout.

Mourinho was not too pleased with the officiating of the English team led by Anthony Taylor, many of whom he knew during his time managing in the Premier League.

He ambushed Taylor in the basement parking lot of the Puskas Arena and vented his displeasure.

Mourinho was filmed screaming about the 'disgraceful' performance of the officials, punctuated with numerous expletives in multiple languages, as reported by ESPN.

Mourinho shows classy gesture

The Special One can be very cool and then flare up in seconds. He put the fiasco in Budapest behind him to make a classy gesture to a young Romanista when his team arrived in Trigoria.

Mourinho met the boy, who was holding a Roma flag, at the roadside.

He then unpacked his backpack and handed the youngster a shirt in what must have been a touching gesture for the supporter of the Italians.

Roma will play their final game of the Serie A season on Sunday against relegation strugglers, Spezia, after which Mourinho confirmed he would go on holiday next week.

The former Chelsea boss may not be in Rome next season. Marca reports he has concrete offers from Paris Saint-Germain, who are interested in having him succeed current boss, Christophe Galtier.

Mourinho comments on Roma future

Sports Brief also reported that Mourinho spoke on managing Roma and the difficulties he faces, amid reports he is set to leave at the end of the current season.

He highlighted his role is more than that of the manager but also the face of the club, as well as the defender of the team against irregularities by any officials.
