Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been nominated for the Serie A best striker of the season following his impressive performances this term for Napoli registering 25 League goals.
Osimhen has recorded his name in gold at Napoli after helping the club to win the Scudetto after 33 years and he is now the leading African scorer in Serie A history.
His performances have made him become a target for many clubs in Europe as the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain are looking for the signature of Osimhen.
According to what Serie A posted on their official Twitter page, Osimhen will compete for the best striker of the season with the duo of Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez and Rafael Leao of AC Milan.

With Osimhen having 25 goals this term, Martinez has scored 21, while Leao has 14 goals with 15 assists which is incredible.
Martinez has already helped Inter win the Coppa Italia and also will be in action against Premier League champions Manchester City in the Champions League final.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Victor Osimhen is one of the beneficiaries of President Muhammadu Buhari’s final actions as the Federal Republic of Nigeria president.
The striker helped Napoli to a first Serie A title in 33 years under Italian manager Luciano Spalletti - their third-ever Scudetto victory.
He has scored 25 league goals and scored the goal that secured the title for Neapolitans in the 1-1 draw away at Udinese. He is on course to win the golden boot.
As part of the activities leading up to the change of government in his home country, Osimhen has been bestowed with a national honour - Member of The Order of Federal Republic (MFR).
