The Saints were relegated after a difficult campaign, having finished bottom of the table in the 2022/23 season.
Sulemana netted his first two goals for the club on the final day, in a thrilling 4-4 draw against Liverpool at the Saint Mary's Stadium.
Despite joining the Saints in January, Sulemana will reportedly listen to offers in the summer transfer window.
"It was good I made a statement today. It was the last game of the season and just to show everybody what they can expect of me," he told BBC Radio.
Whatever comes, the Ghanaian said he is prepared.
"Whether I have to stay in the summer, I will still help the team come up and if there is an opportunity to explore, I will take it."
Sulemana joined Southampton in the winter transfer window from French outfit, Stade Rennais.
The 21-year-old made 18 Premier League appearances, scoring two goals and providing an assist.
