  • Manchester City and Inter Milan will clash in the UEFA Champions League final

Manchester City will face Inter Milan in the UEFA Champions Final at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey, on June 10.

City reached their second-ever Champions League final after dispatching Real Madrid, including a dominant 4-0 second-leg win over Los Blancos at the Etihad Stadium.

Inter beat city rivals and stadium neighbours, AC Milan 3-0 on aggregate at the famous Giuseppe Meazza, popularly referred to as the San Siro, over two legs to reach their first final since 2010.

The Citizens are Premier League champions after displacing Arsenal from the top spot, while the Nerazzurri beat Fiorentina last night to win consecutive Coppa Italia titles.

City should not underrate Inter

Man City are clear favourites to win this year’s final for the first time in their history, but it would not be a walk in the park against the Italian giants.

According to GIFN, the red and black side of Milan are yet to lose a single knockout cup game under head coach, Simone Inzaghi and have been eliminated in a knockout competition only once.

IFTV adds that since losing his first final as manager, the 2016/17 Coppa Italia at Lazio, he has won seven consecutive finals with Lazio and Inter Milan, which sends a big message to City.

The 19-time Serie A champions need two points from their final two league games to be guaranteed Champions League football next season. They could ice it with a final victory over the English champions.

Lukaku wants Inter stay

Sports Brief reported that Romelu Lukaku pledged his loyalty to Inter and dropped a massive hint he would not be returning to his parent club, Chelsea.

He returned to Italy on loan after failing to impress in his second spell. While Mauricio Pochettino is said to be a fan, the Belgian does not to come back.

Chelsea are already in the market for a new striker, with Lukaku’s teammate at Inter, Lautaro Martinez shortlisted along with Napoli's Victor Osimhen.
