Management of South African football club, Kaizer Chiefs are set to have an important meeting with their head coach, Arthur Zwane, in which they are expected to evaluate the performance of the team over the past season.

Kaizer Chiefs were tipped to land the South African premier division crown for the 2022/23 season, considering their preparations before the start of the term, but the AmaKohis did not even end among the top four.

The disappointing season has sparked outrage among fans and led to the questioning of Chiefs' hierarchy for their choice of hiring Zwane as the head coach.

A source also stated the club could be planning to part ways with Zwane at the helm.

Zwane and Chiefs to part?

"There is a meeting happening and it is not looking good for Zwane and his coaching crew," the source stated.
"There is talk of wanting to bring in a senior coach to assist Zwane, but it seems the man is not ready to work with him under the kind of system which could see him leave."

It does appear likely Zwane will be shown the door, with fans reaching their limits of patience with the Chiefs' run of results.

David Kannemeyer blasts Kaizer Chiefs

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how former AmaKhosi players reacted to Chiefs' poor season, including Neil Tovey and most recently, David Kannemeyer.

The former defender has shared his thoughts on the club’s current form, and stated the issue was a lack of quality players and not a problem with the coaching.

Kannemeyer has never been shy about sharing his thoughts on the AmaKhosi, having previously criticised the team’s management for poor planning.
