  • Pep Guardiola is on the verge of winning almost every available trophy at Manchester City
  • He was recently asked if he would depart the club should he win the treble this season
  • The Spaniard was coy on the subject and insisted it would be a matter of 'wait and see'

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola recently spoke about his future with the club after helping them lift this season's Premier League title.

City were officially crowned champions on May 21, shortly after their 1-0 win over Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.

On Saturday, the Citizens had been declared league winners already following Arsenal's painful defeat against Nottingham Forest.

The Gunners had emerged as the firm favourites to secure the crown this term, but the defeat - which came after a disastrous run of form in recent weeks - meant they stood no chance against City.

The Etihad club's recent Premier League title is Guardiola's fifth since he joined the club from Bayern Munich.

The Spaniard is also on course to challenge for a historic treble, with Man City now eyeing the Champions League crown and the FA Cup title as well.

Guardiola addresses Man City future

Despite Guardiola's significant success with Man City, talk of a potential sensational exit has not been ruled out.

The former Barcelona boss still has an active contract with the Citizens, having penned a two-year contract extension back in November, per ESPN.

Recently, he was put on task to address his future with the Manchester club ahead of the summer. However, the 52-year-old was coy on the subject, insisting it is a matter of 'wait and see.'

Guardiola's future with City notwithstanding, it is almost given he will not be short of options in the event he decides to dump the EPL champions.

Sports Brief now takes a look at four clubs the ex-Bayern boss could manage.

Guardiola to Bayern Munich?

Guardiola enjoyed an incredible stint with Bayern Munich between 2013 and 2016 when he left for Man City. The Spaniard won the Bundesliga with the Germans on three occasions, as well as the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

While the Bavarians have gone on to enjoy significant success in his absence, the need could arise to have a more prolific coach owing to Thomas Tuchel's struggles.

Bayern are on the verge of finishing the season without a trophy, with rivals, Borussia Dortmund in a pole position to win the domestic crown.

Real Madrid manager: Guardiola?

Current Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti has been linked with a possible Real Madrid exit this summer. According to The Mirror, the experienced manager has been linked with the vacant Brazil national job.

Should that happen, the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium could be a possible destination for Guardiola, his history with the club notwithstanding.

Guardiola to manage Juventus?

The serial Serie A champions have endured their fair share of struggles in recent years. The return of Max Allegri has not done them much, with their struggles this season very much evident.

If Guardiola needed a challenge elsewhere, he would definitely fancy a move to Italy with Juve.

Guardiola's Paris Saint-Germain assignment?

The French giants have been unable to replicate their domestic form at the continental stage. Despite their heavy investment in top players, PSG are yet to end their long wait to taste European glory.

With Christophe Galtier under considerable pressure, the French giants would definitely pounce on the opportunity to sign Guardiola if he was available.

Pep trolls Real Madrid

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Man City manager, Guardiola brutally trolled Real Madrid with a cheeky celebration post on Instagram.

The Citizens were simply superb as they prevailed 4-0 on aggregate against Carlo Ancelotti's team to reach the UEFA Champions League final.
