  • Casemiro scored an outrageous goal for Manchester United against Bournemouth
  • It was a much-needed goal for the Brazilian, whose performances have dipped since coming back from suspension
  • United will inch closer to a top four finish with a win against the Cherries

Casemiro scored what is possibly his most acrobatic goal of his career on Saturday, May 20 to give Manchester United the lead against Bournemouth.

United went into the game knowing nothing short of a win would do if they are to keep their top four aspirations in their own hands with Liverpool breathing down their neck.

Against the Cherries, who are all but safe from relegation, United started brightly at the Vitality Stadium, and got a goal in spectacular fashion.

Despite the likes of Anthony Martial, Jadon Sancho and Antony leading the line in attack, it was Casemiro who came up with the all-important goal to give his side the lead.

The 31-year old adjusted himself to excellently to get onto Christian Eriksen’s lobbed pass, which took a slight touch from a Bournemouth defender.

Despite being mere yards from the goal, Casemiro’s smart finish gave his side the lead in the eighth minute, sending Manchester United fans into a frenzy on social media.

Here is how fans reacted to the goal:

@UTDTrey said:

“13 G/A for Casemiro this season, doing better than your attackers.”

@ApprecL added:

“Casemiro is a better finisher than Weghorst. And I'm not even joking”

@Kvara777IQ boldly declared:

“Going from McTomminay to Casemiro might be the biggest upgrade in history.”

While @CharlieBass said:

“That’s a worldie I can’t believe my eyes,”
