  • Florentino Perez is reportedly keen to offload two Real Madrid stars
  • The Real Madrid president will look to sell the duo in the summer
  • Real Madrid lost 4-0 to Manchester City at the Etihad

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly preparing to sell two players during the upcoming transfer window as they look to overhaul their squad.

Mariano Diaz and Alvaro Odriozola are already on their way out of the club as they all look to move on to their next chapters.

However, there could be up to two more players leaving the defending champions of Europe, according to Sportskeeda, with Carlo Ancelotti looking to freshen up his options ahead of next season.

Per the reports, Perez will look to sell Eden Hazard and Ferland Mendy in the summer if reasonable offers are made for their services.

This is coming after Real Madrid’s embarrassing defeat in the Champions League semi-final second-leg tie against Manchester City on Wednesday night.

Both Hazard and Mendy have struggled for game time at Real Madrid for several reasons.

Mendy has endured an injury-ridden season, managing 26 appearances across competitions, providing one assist for Ancelotti’s side.

Hazard, meanwhile, has endured a miserable spell at the Santiago Bernabeu since becoming the club’s record signing in a £100 million deal back in 2019. The Belgian has managed just 76 appearances since joining Madrid from Chelsea, scoring seven goals and providing 12 assists.

Hazard confirms club he’ll play

Meanwhile, Eden Hazard has revealed he has no intention of leaving Real Madrid before his contract runs out in 2024.

The 32-year-old became Los Blancos’ most expensive signing when he joined the Santiago Bernabeu outfit from Chelsea in a £130million deal in 2019.

But Hazard has struggled with form and fitness since moving to Madrid and has been a shadow of the player who established his reputation at Stamford Bridge.

Hazard looks unhappy during celebrations

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Real Madrid won the Copa del Rey for the first time since 2014 after beating Osasuna in the final in Seville but Eden Hazard wasn’t too pleased.

After the blast of the final whistle, the playing body switched into a jubilant mood following their triumph and gleefully posed for a team photo on the podium.

But one player, Eden Hazard, did not seem happy, perhaps with himself, despite adding another title to his growing trophy cabinet during his stint with Madrid.
